Elon Musk’s Tesla and Baidu join forces to build cars that will drive themselves in China

Elon Musk’s Tesla and Chinese internet giant Baidu have formed a partnership to develop self-driving cars for the Chinese market.

Tesla will gain access to data collected on China’s public roads to enhance its full self-driving (FSD) system and develop a lane-level navigation system.

The collaboration aims to obtain government approvals for deploying the FSD software in China, where Tesla seeks to expand its presence.

1. Tesla and Baidu have teamed up to leverage data collection and mapping services for developing self-driving cars in China.

2. Tesla will utilise data from Baidu’s mapping service to enhance its FSD system and ensure compliance with Chinese regulations.
